We’re looking for a highly skilled and experienced E-commerce WordPress Developer to join our team. You’ll be a key player in developing and maintaining our e-commerce websites, ensuring they are high-performing, secure, and user-friendly.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance e-commerce websites using WordPress and other platforms.
  • Customize themes, create new features, and integrate third-party services and APIs.
  • Optimize website performance and implement security best practices.
  • Collaborate with our design and content teams to create seamless user experiences.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest e-commerce trends and platform updates.

Who You Are

You’re a proactive and professional developer with a strong background in e-commerce and a proven track record of successful WordPress projects. You’re comfortable working independently and are a great communicator.

Technical Skills

  • Programming & Frameworks: You’re proficient in HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and an expert in PHP, especially for WordPress development, including creating custom page templates and using AJAX.
  • Platform-Specific Knowledge: You have extensive experience in WordPress development, including custom themes and plugins. You also have strong knowledge of business intelligence, including building queries and managing data.
  • E-commerce Expertise: You’re proficient in integrating various payment gateways and shipping providers and have a strong understanding of WooCommerce.
  • Tools & Practices: You’re experienced with Git for version control, skilled in third-party API integrations, and adept at creating responsive designs for all devices.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in e-commerce web development.
  • English and Tagalog speaking
  • A strong portfolio that demonstrates your expertise in custom theme development and platform integrations.
  • A proven track record of successful WordPress e-commerce projects.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A solid understanding of SEO principles and web security best practices.
  • Knowledge of UX/UI design principles and e-commerce analytics tools.
  • You are independent, self-motivated, and collaborative, even while working remotely.

Working Particulars

This is an independent contractor position with our company, Bahayos (or our parent company, Dijsktra Philippines). As an independent contractor, you will be responsible for managing your own government dues, such as taxes.
